Our wedding was just in late July this year and was honestly the best night of our lives! Blue Plate was exceptional during the prep process, and was really detail-oriented when it came to choosing silverware and food options that were within our budget. I know we got multiple compliments from our guests that the food was amazing, and the crew that was there during the wedding were so nice and helpful with making sure our dinner was lovely. Where do I begin? I found Blue Plate through the list of required caterers for our venue, and I am so glad to have gone through with using them for my wedding. David was amazing to work with. My venue was logistically difficult with no parking and a room flip between the ceremony and reception. They helped me refine my timeline for the day to run as smooth as possible. They even worked with one of my bridesmaids so we could pick up our linens two days before our wedding and drop them off two days later so we could have the tables set our entire wedding day. Seriously, they were fantastic. As a vegetarian, it was very important for me to choose a caterer with actual vegetarian options on their menu, not just a star at the bottom of the pdf document that says, “*vegetarian meals upon request.” It’s always uncomfortable when there’s no food for you at an event because of an allergy or a choice in diet. Needless to say, they are extremely accommodating of every concern. They even made a special piece of vegan and gluten free cheesecake for one of my guests. We ended up choosing their pasta bar for dinner and it was absolutely amazing. I personally chose cavatappi with veggies and Alfredo sauce. My sister is the pickiest eater I know and she went back for seconds to try the pesto sauce. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen my sister go back for seconds or eat pesto sauce in my entire life. My only regret is that I was partying so hard that I didn’t get a chance to try the cheesecake bar we chose for dessert! Emily followed us around to each and every table to dismiss them to the buffet. After we said our thank yous to everyone at the table, Emily asked if anyone had any dietary concerns or allergies. She made sure everyone had something to eat. They were fabulous. Emily also checked in with us throughout the day to make sure everything was running smoothly and that we didn’t need anything extra from her. Working with Blue Plate was an absolute dream and I would recommend them to anybody. Thank you so much Blue Plate for making my wedding day perfect! – Sami & Jimmy
