HOW DID YOU MEET? We met on a dating app called Bumble!
HOW DID YOU KNOW YOU HAD FOUND "THE ONE"? No matter the situation, Brandon was always there to love and support me. From that, I realized he is what I always wanted to come home to and what I needed for the rest of my life.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: Brandon proposed on the front doorstep of the first house we bought together the day we were moving in. It all took place in front of all of our closest friends and family!
TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR ATTIRE: I was surrounded by my mom and grandmas when I found my wedding dress at Vera's House of Bridals! Brandon chose to have a custom tux made at Men's Wearhouse.
WERE THERE ANY PERSONAL TOUCHES OR DIY ELEMENTS? I love crafting, so I tried to make as much of the decor as I could. These projects included a donut wall, acrylic sign seating chart, welcome sign, table numbers, and centerpieces.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING THEME/STYLE IN FIVE WORDS OR LESS? Classic Winter Wedding
WHAT WAS YOUR WEDDING COLOR PALETTE? Dusty Blue and Charcoal
DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: Our wedding flowers were white roses, blue thistle, and lots of eucalyptus greenery. They were very special to as us we had Brandon's Aunt Vicky do all of our flowers and arrangements.
WHAT WAS YOUR INSPIRATION/DESIGN CONCEPT FOR YOUR OVERALL CEREMONY AND RECEPTION DECOR? We wanted to use lots of greenery and keep the rest of the decor simple and elegant.
TELL US ABOUT THE FOOD, DESSERT AND ANY SPECIALTY BEVERAGES ON THE MENU: With a winter wedding, we went with chicken breast and Karley's favorite meal, beef stroganoff. Karley's Step-Dad made a large board to hold bagged donuts for all the guests to enjoy for dessert.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT FROM YOUR WEDDING? Even though we had a first look, our first look at each other on opposite ends of the aisle with all of our family and friends about to watch us tie the knot was very special. Our other favorite moment would be our first dance. We had our song "Diamonds or Twine" played live by my brother Kyle and family friend Tyler.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR HONEYMOON PLANS: We would have loved to travel to Switzerland, but with Covid, we decided to save that trip for a couple of years down the road. Instead, we took a trip up to Door County. We loved being able to relax and enjoy each other's company without having to do any more planning.
WHAT DOES LIFE LOOK LIKE AFTER THE WEDDING? Now that the wedding is over, it leaves us more time for house projects we have been wanting to do. We are also expecting our first child in April 2022!
ANY WEDDING PLANNING REGRETS OR SOMETHING YOU WOULD DO DIFFERENTLY? We couldn't dream of doing anything differently on our wedding day. We are still talking about how much we enjoyed the day and had the best time we will never forget!
IS THERE ANY ADVICE YOU'D GIVE TO OTHER COUPLES PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? The wedding day goes by in the blink of an eye; try not to sweat the small stuff.
