Hannah and Nathan first met on Bumble, and their connection quickly turned into a love that was meant to be. They had been dating for about six years when Nathan proposed while the couple enjoyed an annual trip up north with family. He dropped to one knee while at the end of a dock at sunset, a moment Hannah looks back on being absolutely perfect.
At first, wedding planning seemed like a monumental task. The couple wanted to prioritize being stress-free and present on their big day, so they started by hiring a wedding planner. Hannah reflects, “Working with Sarah from Cherry Blossom Events was by far the best decision we made during our planning. She was so helpful in the early stages of finding vendors that fit our vision and then taking care of all of the small things the weekend-of so we could just enjoy the day.”

Located a short drive away in Milwaukee, Bay View Printing Co. specializes in custom graphic design and letterpress printing. They embraced Hannah and Nathan’s whimsical and welcoming style, creating stationery pieces in unique shapes and contour cuts. The color palette for the celebration was bright and warm, featuring peach, pinks, pops of blue and green, mustard, and wooden hues.

The Eloise, a stunning two-story venue built specifically to host weddings, served as the backdrop for the day. Hannah and Nathan had plenty of space to prepare in separate suites on either side of the ceremony space.
Sunborn Gardens provided a vast array of floral pieces for the day, including a lush, towering broken flower arch for the ceremony placed behind the couple and overlooking the reception space on the ground floor. Other florals included artful aisle arrangements, bud vases, bouquets, boutonnieres, and smaller, sentimental bouquets placed on chairs reserved for guests who were unable to attend the ceremony.

Officiant Pat Werk from Koru Ceremony helped the couple create a personal and meaningful ceremony. In addition to their vows, Hannah and Nathan did a ring warming, a tradition where each guest held and blessed the wedding bands before the ring exchange.

Hannah wore an elegant, textured gown from Strike Bridal Bar. Her hair was loosely curled and pulled back into a stylish low ponytail, with shorter pieces framing her face. A luxurious, chapel-length tulle veil was also added for the ceremony. Hair and makeup stylist, Rooted Culture, further accentuated Hannah’s natural beauty with a subtle peachy palette for her eyeshadow and blush.
Nathan wore a sharp black suit from The Black Tux, a crisp white undershirt, brown shoes, and a matching satin tie and pocket square.

Above all, the couple wanted their wedding to be an event where guests felt comfortable and had fun. This intention especially shined through during the reception, which featured a welcome drink lounge, cocktail hour catering, and many delicious dining and snack options. Hannah and Nathan’s beloved dog, Zeke, was also honored with a custom mule, printed napkins, and even made an in-pet appearance for an outdoor photo op, floral collar and all!

Inside, an escort table made by attaching printed pieces to various cutting boards, then propped on easels, helped guests find their seats. Both Event Essentials and Velvet Rentals helped shape the atmosphere of the celebration. The reception was beautifully arranged and decorated, with warm candlelight and lamps adding another layer of warmth as the sun set and the string lights turned on.

The Baked Lab designed a striking rectangular wedding cake with a funky, two-tone wave design. Other delicious desserts included cake cups and macaroons.

Annika Frame Photography did a beautiful job capturing all the special moments, from before the first look to the last dance. Golden hour was a must, and we absolutely adore these romantic, sun-soaked couple portraits!

Sound by Design kept the music playing and the dance floor full all night, as guests also indulged in late-night snacks like wood-fired pizza from The Wooden Peel and El Grito Taqueria food truck. Afterward, attendees were safely escorted back to their accommodations by Badger Bus & Trolley.

Thinking back on their joyful whirlwind, Hannah writes, “Our wedding day was truly such a beautiful day, and I am so grateful for our vendors. Madison has some of the best and most genuine wedding vendors, and I am honored to have had them involved in our day.”
She also wanted to give back to the community, donating their beautiful wedding flowers to Petal It Forward, an organization that gives flowers to people who need them most. The florals were broken down, rearranged, and dropped off at two assisted living homes.
