TELL US ABOUT YOUR JOURNEY STARTING YOUR BUSINESS + IF YOU HAVE A STORY BEHIND THE NAME: We accidentally fell into photography back in college. Photography was part of my (Larissa's) major, although it wasn't the focus of my schooling. After taking several years of photography, a friend asked me to capture their engagement session. From there, they asked me to capture their wedding. With a lot of convincing, I agreed and brought my husband Matt along for the ride. It was instant love for the two of us, and our business was officially born. Fourteen years later, we are still loving every second of it.
I decided to use my name for our business name since it is a name that will stay with us as we grow and still stay current during the changing years and trends. The same as what our photography represents as well, always timeless!
WHAT SETS YOU APART FROM OTHER VENDORS IN YOUR INDUSTRY? Our main goal going into every session and wedding is to focus on our couples and their stories. We want to capture authentic and timeless images that tell each couple's story rather than just shooting for our portfolios. Every wedding is different, and we want that unique story to be told in a way that will still be gorgeous fifty, eighty, or one hundred plus years from now.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT WORKING IN THE LOVE INDUSTRY? How much joy and happiness there is at every wedding! We love our couples and getting to know them, as well as their support systems. It's amazing to be capturing these memories that so many people will forever cherish.
