TELL US ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS AND WHAT YOU OFFER: Deer Valley Lodge is a 62-Room Hotel with themed Hotel Rooms & Suites, a 12,000 sq ft Indoor Water Park, and a beautifully appointed Banquet Hall! Weddings and Events are our specialties as we feature a 5,000 sq ft Banquet Hall with an adjacent Full-Service Private Bar that can accommodate up to 400 people. With in-house Event Coordinators and an on-site Chef, we tailor each event to the couple. We use the freshest ingredients, prepare items from scratch, and help with the planning from beginning to end.
Step outside the Banquet Hall onto our 1,500 sq ft Patio area and beautifully landscaped Ceremony Gazebo overlooking the Deer Valley Golf Course, or select one of our other scenic Outdoor Ceremony Locations. In addition to the Banquet Hall, Deer Valley Lodge offers 2,500 sq ft of divisible event space to accommodate smaller events, including Rehearsal Dinners and Gift Openings! Adjacent to the Deer Valley Lodge, you will find Deer Valley Golf course offering 27 holes of golf, an 18-hole FootGolf Course, and a Driving Range with special rates for all Hotel Guests and Stay & Play Packages.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR JOURNEY STARTING YOUR BUSINESS AND IF YOU HAVE A STORY BEHIND THE NAME: In 1996, construction began on 384 acres of beautiful Southern Wisconsin farm and prairie land. The goal was to create a quality, 18-hole golf facility that would provide golfers with a unique golf experience by blending a challenging layout with breathtaking views unmatched in Southwest Wisconsin. During the project, a keen eye was kept on preserving the numerous natural resources and maintaining the integrity of the original lay of the land. Deer Valley boasts some of Wisconsin's purest natural prairies, not to mention deer, wild turkeys, coyotes, red-tailed hawks, and numerous other species!
In 1999, Deer Valley Golf Course opened to many rave reviews for play. The blend of links-style golf, rolling terrain, and exciting elevation changes gave golfers a chance to use every club and shot in their bag.
With fantastic support from the community, the Deer Valley Lodge opened for business in July of 2006, featuring 62 Hotel Rooms, including 14 suites, the largest Indoor Water Park in the greater Madison area, a 5,000 sq ft Banquet Hall, two Meeting Rooms, and an Executive Board Room!
As interest in Deer Valley Lodge increased, so did the demand for golf. The Valley Course opened for play in August 2009 and brought our total to 27 holes. Deer Valley now has three courses to choose from: The Ridge, The Prairie, and The Valley, and an 18 hole FootGolf Course added in 2018.

The following things you will notice are our amenities and service! Your event is a family affair, and Deer Valley has something for the whole family. With a Hotel on-site, your guests don't need to drive home and stay longer and enjoy the reception! DVL couples get first access to set up a Hotel Room Block with discounted rates, along with everyone who visits getting a Golf Discount at Deer Valley Golf Course during their stay.
Best of all, Deer Valley Lodge offers couples the opportunity to customize every part of their special day! Our Banquet Hall Rental Fee includes everything needed to host your reception, and instead of paying for items and services you don't want or need, the DVL Wedding Packet is set up to allow couples customization of their wedding, selecting only the items and services they want for their wedding day!
Deer Valley offers a wide variety of rental items that can be added to already included items such as Tables, Chairs, Linens, China, Flatware, Glassware, Napkins, which are already set up before couples come to decorate! Guests have a Full Bar of options and can customize Complimentary Beverages like Kegs, Wine, Soda, an Open Bar, etc.
We have in-house Event Coordinators who help couples through the planning process from start to finish and are on-site the day of to make sure everything goes as planned. With a full-time chef on-site, we make all meals from scratch using the freshest ingredients and can adapt our menu to meet the individual preference of our couples!

ANYTHING ELSE YOU'D LIKE TO SHARE? We are your full-service wedding venue and are happy to host your Bridal Shower, Rehearsal Dinner, Ceremony, Reception, and Gift Opening! There is so much for your guests to do both on and off our grounds as well. Families can fit in a round of golf or FootGolf, swim in the Water Park, visit local attractions such as House on the Rock, Blue Mounds State Park, and shop in historic Mt Horeb. Deer Valley is fun for the whole family!
