HOW DID YOU MEET? He worked at a restaurant with my older sister and met when I went to eat there.
HOW DID YOU KNOW HE/SHE WAS "THE ONE"? We knew we were "the ones" for each other because we complete each other and make each other the best versions of ourselves.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: We went on a mini-vacation to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore hiking and to see the waterfalls. On the last day we hiked down to the bottom of Miner's Falls and he proposed.
DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: Our wedding flowers were pink roses, with red lilies, which are my favorite flower, with flowy greenery and white flowers all around.
TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR DRESS: I went with my mom, niece, and best friend to a small town store after having tried on a few before this. Immediately after putting my dress on, I knew it was perfect for me because I had never seen anything like it. I loved the low back and unique sleeves.
WERE THERE ANY PERSONAL TOUCHES OR DIY ELEMENTS? I chose the wording for our ceremony to match who we are as a couple and what we want in our marriage. We also incorporated music and other elements from "our" TV show, "The Office."
WHAT WAS YOUR WEDDING COLOR PALETTE? Navy blue, maroon, and gold.
DID YOU USE ANY SPECIALTY TABLES, CHAIRS, LINENS OR DINNERWARE? We used ivory chair covers and tablecloths, with navy blue runners and sashes.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT FROM YOUR WEDDING? His was the grand march, dressed up as characters from The Office, having fun with our friends and family. Mine was when we went outside at golden hour, just me and him to get our pictures taken and got some time for ourselves.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR HONEYMOON PLANS: We went to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic on Monday after the wedding for one week. We spent time on the beach, going to waterfalls, and historic monuments.
WHAT DOES LIFE LOOK LIKE AFTER THE WEDDING? We live in our own home together with our two cats.
IS THERE ANY ADVICE YOU'D GIVE TO OTHERS PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? My advice would be to do what you want to do. Dance and have fun, don't feel like you need to make anybody else happy but yourself and your new spouse. And to take time for just the two of you, it all goes by so fast it's nice to have a moment to take it in together.
ANY WEDDING PLANNING REGRETS YOU'D DO DIFFERENTLY? I would have had my decorator do more to have less stress for myself.
