HOW DID YOU MEET? We initially met through mutual friends and later reconnected after calling Ross out in front of everyone while giving my maid of honor speech at the couple's wedding who introduced us. I'm not a fan of public speaking but it was the best decision I made-it's crazy how it came full circle!
TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: Being a huge fan of the tv show 'Friends', it seems only fitting that from the beginning, my nickname for Ross is "Geller" after Ross in the show. It's adorable how he tried to then incorporate that into the proposal.
After Ross cooked us a nice dinner, we were cleaning up and I was surprised to find a note sitting in the window sill. The note read, "The one where... I ask you to marry me," similar to how they named every episode in Friends. I turned around to find Ross and a gorgeous ring.
DO YOU HAVE A WEDDING DATE SET? November 2, 2019.
DO YOU HAVE A VENUE? Yes, we will be getting married at The Swan Barn Door in Wisconsin Dells. We both absolutely fell in love with the venue from the moment we saw it and can't wait to go back for our big day!
ANY OTHER DETAILS PLANNED? We are not far in the planning process at this point but we have some general ideas for the colors, food/dessert choices, and how we want to incorporate the prizes from the prize package. Thankfully, we have great family and friends who have offered valuable advice for when we do start planning specific details.
WHAT IS YOUR WEDDING INSPIRATION AND STYLE/THEME FOR YOUR WEDDING? Most of our ideas stem from various wedding websites/blogs, talking to friends, the Wedding Planner & Guide, wedplan.com and looking through Pinterest. The moment we got engaged, a close friend created a Pinterest board for us that is getting a lot of use!
The theme that would best describe our wedding vision would be rustic with hints of modern elements.
