Gold, glitz and all the right touches make Janelle and Adam's wedding a romantic affair at the beautiful Glacier Canyon Lodge and Conference Center, located at the Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells. Ann Gorgen Photography captured a stunning bride in a dress perfectly chosen from Marah's Elegant Bridal, her bridesmaids in black and gold from Vera's House of Bridals, her Groom looking dapper in a tuxedo from Nedrebo's Formalwear. Special touches like a heartfelt and handmade cathedral veil and a special ride in a limousine, from Gallant Knight Limousine, made this wedding a timeless and classic event. WEDDING DATE: December 16th
HOW DID YOU MEET? Janelle's older brother, Jake, introduced us.
HOW DID YOU KNOW YOU HAD FOUND "THE ONE"? Adam and I never wanted to spend our free time with anybody else! We realized we truly are the happiest and best versions of ourselves when we are together. That knowledge led us to the realization that we each had found our person.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR PROPOSAL: A frigid night in Madison turned into one of the happiest days of our lives! Adam planned a date night downtown which involved driving through the Christmas lights at Olin Park, dinner at the Great Dane, and drinks at Dlux. After dinner, I was ready to go home, but Adam insisted on getting a Christmas picture near the capital. It's not like Adam to want to take pictures, so I quickly said yes. I was not paying much attention to Adam getting his camera set up and missed he also set up a go-pro to capture the proposal. While standing near the Monona Terrace with the capital in the background, we posed for a picture, and then Adam turned to me, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him.
TELL US ABOUT FINDING YOUR DRESS: Marah's Elegant Bridal in Mt. Horeb, had the perfect gown for me! Their top-notch service, friendly staff and the amazing selection of dresses made it an incredible experience for me and my mom, mother-in-law, cousins, and friends.
WERE THERE ANY PERSONAL TOUCHES OR DIY ELEMENTS? My mom handmade my cathedral length veil using the lace from her wedding gown, which had been handed down from my grandmother.
DESCRIBE YOUR WEDDING FLOWERS: For flowers, we had a variety of roses, lisianthus, cushion mums, and wax flowers in colors of burgundy, fuchsia, purple, lavender and various shades of pink. Greenery incorporated into bouquets, boutonnieres, and corsages in the form of ruscus, seeded eucalyptus, and salal.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT FROM YOUR WEDDING? Our first dance as we entered the reception was our favorite moment. Our DJ recommended we transition into our first dance right after our entrance into the reception. We went through a tunnel our bridal party made on the dance floor, then danced to the Lava Song with our bridal party singing and swaying along with us. Surrounded by so much love, it was a magical way to kick off the reception.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR HONEYMOON: Went on a week-long vacation to Punta Cana and stayed at an incredible all-inclusive resort called Excellence El Carmen.
WHAT DOES LIFE LOOK LIKE AFTER THE WEDDING? We love being married and are enjoying life in Madison with our black lab, Luna. Adam is an engineer, and I am busy in graduate school for Occupational Therapy. We're enjoying attending our friends' weddings and all that the Madison area has to offer.
IS THERE ANY ADVICE YOU'D GIVE TO OTHER COUPLES PLANNING THEIR WEDDING? Enjoy the process! We set our timeline based on what had to get done each month which helped cut back on the stress. It also helped to build up the excitement! We can't say enough positive things about our DJ, Russ, our dance floor was full all night thanks to his fantastic planning and expertise. Great entertainment is a must have at your wedding!
