Modern Maximalist: A Celebration of Diverse Love & High-Fashion Style

Love is art, and art should honor the depth and beauty of every story. This bold, maximalist editorial celebrates diversity and Black excellence through striking fashion, rich color, and layered, statement-making design. Set against multiple immersive backdrops, each look challenges tradition and embraces authenticity, creativity, and the joy of expressing love without limits.

Miriam Events Co partnered with O&B Photo Co to bring the vision to life, with Miriam Events Co leading the design and O&B Photo Co documenting every detail. The opening scene unfolded before a tropical hand-painted backdrop by Castle Walls Wedding Decor, framed by vibrant florals and painted palm leaves from Unordinary Omen.

Strike Bridal Bar embraced a boundary-breaking approach to styling, choosing coordinating gowns for both partners that felt cohesive yet distinct. For her first look, the bride wore a strapless A-line gown featuring dramatic off-the-shoulder sleeves and a plunging illusion V-neckline. Crafted from sleek, luxe fabric, the silhouette flowed into a cathedral-length train and finished with an oversized bow cascading down the back.

The groom’s gown made an equally striking statement, highlighting rich color and texture. Designed in a soft blush crepe, the strapless A-line silhouette featured a pleated bodice, illusion V-neckline, and full, sweeping skirt. Vibrant floral appliqués trailed across the fabric from bodice to hem, adding depth, artistry, and impact.

The tablescape came alive in saturated shades of red, blue, and gold. Lollipop Media Designs anchored the design with a draped linen table and thoughtfully styled menu, surrounded by lush arrangements from Unordinary Omen. Bold red, blush, and pink blooms—including roses, cascading amaranthus, anthuriums, lilies, pincushion protea, and cherry blossom branches—created a layered, lively piece.

Textural details from Velvet Rentals elevated the setting with mirrored stars and starbursts, crystal glassware, matte-black table lamps, white dinner plates, and gold flatware. Gold leaf chargers, colored flute glasses, glowing candles, candy, and desserts by Happy Joy Hospitality, along with a cutting cake from Madison Sourdough, brought the entire look together with flair.

The bride wowed with sultry smoky eyes, luminous highlights, softly flushed cheeks, and a bold red lip from Lotus Artistry. Delicately placed rhinestones framed her eyes for a touch of drama, while custom press-on nails by Nair Fairy 414 and layers of gold jewelry added the perfect finishing details.

The couple debuted a second look alongside artful cocktails from Nomadic Beverage Co., then headed back to the tropical setting for portraits beneath a yellow tasseled umbrella.

For her second look, the bride stepped into another standout gown from Strike Bridal Bar. This dress was a statuesque, strapless satin design featuring a chic cat-eye neckline and asymmetrical floral appliqués sweeping across the bodice. She paired it with sheer tulle rhinestone gloves and a skinny scarf, creating effortless movement and drama in every frame.

The groom’s second ensemble reimagined the traditional suit with an oversized jacket worn open and layered over bare skin, styled with crisp white trousers held by suspenders. A floral boutonniere and patterned dress shoes added vibrant, personality-filled pops of color to complete the look.

For one final scene, the couple moved into a richly styled red setting layered with patterned floors, antique furnishings, warm ambient lighting, and ornate, Egyptian-inspired details.

The bride’s last look featured a satin, asymmetrical gown with one long sleeve, one cold-shoulder detail, and a draped open-cowl back finished with a strappy bow. The groom complemented in tailored linen trousers paired with a tasselled, sheer sequined button-up that shimmered under the glow of the space.
