Autumn Allure: Vintage Meets Modern Inspiration at Guilded Grey Events

Fall is the season of change, marked by colorful leaves, crisp mornings, and the warmth of the upcoming holiday season. While fall weddings are often imagined as rustic (and we love a rustic wedding!), this Autumn Allure editorial at Guilded Grey Events, styled by Melody Rose Designs, takes a different approach. This editorial combines autumn’s signature colors with vintage design, modern accents, and romantic details, showing how the season’s warmth can be celebrated in a new way.

Designed by Melody Rose Designs, this fall wedding editorial came alive through the talents of Bobbi Petersen Photography, Food & Cake Wedding Films, LK Bridal Studio, Vera’s House of Bridals, DuBois Formalwear, Allure Artistry, Event Essentials, Velvet Rentals, North and South Seafood & Smokehouse, and Sandy Kakes.

LK Bridal Studio helped set the tone, beginning with a luxe, vintage stationery suite. The fonts blended modern and delicate, printed in burnt orange on a premium white paper stock with torn edges. Other design elements included intricate vintage motifs, unique framing, and a custom monogram for the couple. The printed pieces were accompanied by an orange, metallic envelope and name cards printed on vellum and tied on one end with burgundy ribbons.

Later, LK Bridal Studio also provided custom drink signage and a welcome sign of vinyl installed on lace.

Located in Madison, Wisconsin, Guilded Grey Events offers a variety of property highlights and services for couples looking to tie the knot in a unique setting. Their she-shed, boardwalk, 35 acres of scenic Wisconsin landscapes, and newly completed, climate-controlled greenhouse, transformed to fit a variety of scenes, from lounge to tablescapes, catering tables, and beyond.

Cocktail hour took place outside the greenhouse, set against a brick wall backdrop. Melody Rose Designs, Event Essentials, and Velvet Rentals collaborated on rental pieces, which included gold cocktail tables, bentwood chairs, lace tablecloths, a wooden cabinet, a drink cart, glassware, and modern shelving.

Melody Rose Designs selected seasonal colors and accents for the editorial, including a variety of white pumpkins–some used as vases!–and autumn leaves, along with florals and décor. She kept the florals warm and fresh, featuring champagne and peach roses, white hydrangeas, white cymbidium orchids, and rust-colored cremones.

Inside the greenhouse, a dessert table and a reception tablescape sat comfortably beneath a chandelier and vaulted, windowed ceilings. A lace table runner, adorned with candles, glassware, florals, and modern white lanterns, cascaded off both ends of the wooden table. Layered white plates sat atop a lace charger, with satin linens tied with rust orange ribbons.

Sandy Kakes provided cake and desserts. The cake was a two-tiered, white cake decorated with piped frosting and a floral topper. Set against a brick wall backdrop, the cake was surrounded by the sweetest array of mini pie desserts, candles, and an abundance of florals.

Rental pieces continued to set the scene outside, with a cozy lounge set up along the gravel road. Pieces included velvet chairs, a couch, a loveseat, end tables, and coordinating velvet pillows.

North and South Seafood & Smokehouse crafted an artful charcuterie table, located near the she shed. The delicious grazing tables featured a variety of bite-sized snacks and desserts, arranged with care and attention to detail. Individual charcuterie pumpkins made for some of the cutest additions, each packed with an array of meats, cheeses, fruit, and even smaller pumpkin candies.

Vintage met modern in Vera’s House of Bridals’ fashion choices for the bride. The bride wore a strapless, basque-waist dress with a corset bodice and oversized princess skirt. The entire gown featured a delicate lace fabric, further accentuated by a vintage-style, fingertip-length veil.

Bridesmaids wore matching, A-line burnt orange satin gowns with a twist-front neckline and off-the-shoulder sleeves.

Allure Artistry put a twist on tradition with hair and makeup for the day. The bride wore he locks in loose waves and a trendy half-updo perfect for supporting a veil. Her bridesmaids each wore a uniquely styled updo, each with loose curls framing their faces. The makeup was soft and seasonal, featuring light, peachy eyeshadow and a natural lip.

The groom was outfitted in a light stone suit from DuBois Formalwear, paired with a tweed vest, a burnt orange tie, a white undershirt, and brown shoes. Accessories included a white pocket square and a gold brooch pinned on his lapel.

Bobbi Petersen Photography used her signature style to capture every detail of the editorial, from tablescapes to posed and candid moments. She brought out the rich, vibrant colors of fall for a gallery that felt warm, inviting, and luxurious.
