Emily and Dave, Wedding Planner & Guide Madison Bridal Show Prize Winners 2010 Wedding Prize Package Winners

Emily and Dave first met when Dave spotted Emily’s profile on a fitness website. He sent her a message and she responded. They messaged back and forth a few weeks until they finally arranged to meet for their first of many dates.

Their first date was at the Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison, so it was only fitting that the proposal take place there as well. When the time was right, Dave concocted a story about wanting to see a new white tiger exhibit at the zoo. After wandering around the zoo, Dave and Emily ended up at the penguin exhibit. When Emily spotted a stuffed penguin on the wall, she went to investigate. The penguin was holding a card that said, “Turn Around.” Upon turning, she found Dave down on one knee with a ring in hand. When Dave proposed, Emily happily accepted.

Emily and Dave are planning on a September wedding and hope to settle into a new house and someday start a family. In the meantime they are training to run a marathon together shortly after the wedding.
